Command Reference

Press / from any panel to open the command palette. All actions are typed — no mouse required. Commands execute in the game tick loop.

Skills

Five skills in v0.1, each with original names. OSRS-spirit XP curve, compressed ~3.4× — level 99 is a genuine long-term achievement.

Delving
analogue: Mining
Extract ore from rock nodes in Rustfall Quarry. Unlock better ores and smelt bars via Forging.

Harvest lumber from tree nodes in Mosswold. Logs fuel Hearthwork fires and craft items.

Smelt Delved ore into bars and forge weapons and armour. Requires a forge in the zone.

Cook raw food at fires or hearths. Cooked food restores Bladework HP during combat.

Fight monsters in combat zones. Drops loot to inventory. Requires equipped weapon.

Chapter III

World

A hand-authored 20×12 tile world. Navigate with WASD. Each tile carries resource, bank, shop, monster, and exit tags. Movement cancels the current action.

The starter village. Home to the bank, general shop, and cooking hearths. Safe zone — no combat.

Dense forest north of Hearthmere. Pine and oak tree nodes. Mire rats, thornback goblins, and moss imps patrol the edges.

Eastern mining pit. Copper and iron ore nodes. Gravel crawlers, stone imps, and forge giant guard the deep veins.

Chapter IV

Mechanics

Idle-first, active-rewarding. The simulation runs on a Tokio async tick loop, separated entirely from the Ratatui TUI layer.

Offline Progression
Close the terminal mid-action. On reopen, elapsed ticks are calculated and applied — up to 6 hours offline by default.

Action Queue
Queue multiple actions in sequence. The engine processes them one by one. Set it, close the pane, and come back later.

TOML Data-Driven Content
Items, actions, maps, zones, drops, and quests live in TOML files. Override defaults by dropping files in config dir.

Atomic Saves
Player state persists to JSON on quit or Ctrl-C. Writes are atomic — no corruption on crash. Auto-saves every 60 ticks.

Collection Log
Tracks every unique item you've ever looted. Separate from inventory — a permanent record of drops received.

Dev Mode
25× XP, 50ms ticks, boosted drops. Test quest chains without grinding. Flags: --dev --xp-multiplier 25
